What is Komodo Math Festival ?

Komodo Math Festival 2022 aims to promote some admirable characteristics of the Komodo dragon to be emulated by everyone.

In Komodo Math Festival 2022, we attempt to provide an opportunity for students and teachers to test their resilience in ways that are intellectually engaging and fun, through activities including:

Math competition, the main event.
Weekly puzzle and quiz.
Math in the world; a webinar series about math topics, their history and relevance in the real world.
Video contest for teachers (3-5 minutes) explaining or demonstrating a math topic in an interesting way.

How can I join Komodo Math Festival?

Visit https://komodomathfestival.com/ to learn the basic information and click ‘REGISTER’ or go to https://app.komodomathfestival.com/ to register.
Create an account.
Complete your registration data. Make sure you fill the information correctly, especially your full name and school name that will be written on the e-certificate.
Make a payment of 15 USD (excluding transfer fees) by following the instructions on your account.
After the payment is processed successfully, verify your ID by uploading a photo of you holding an ID. You can use a school ID card, or any other identification document, etc. This will complete your registration process.
Keep your account safe, because it will be used for exam simulation and the actual exam. It is also needed to access the exam report and e-certificate.

Every Thursday (17 Feb, 24 Feb, 3 Mar, and 10 Mar 2022) a puzzle and a quiz will be posted

Every week, the winner is chosen randomly from those who answer correctly and will be announced in our Instagram

Teachers of all grades can register to participate in the video-making contest by filling out the registration form provided by the commitee.
The criteria of the video are:

1. content of the video should be about one of the topics in the syllabus for any category.
2. The video is 3 – 5 minutes long.
3. The video language is English.
4. The video can be raw or edited.
5. The video has never been published on any other platform.
6. Details of the submission process will be announced later.

The Eligible videos will be uploaded to the Organizer’s Youtube Channel (Eduversal) for the popularity contest.
The winner will be announced at the Awarding Ceremony on 2 April 2022.

How can I join the Exam?

Before the simulation / exam period begins, login to your account from https://app.komodomathfestival.com.
During the simulation period, click the ‘Start’ button to begin the simulation.
You can access the simulation in a 24-hour window, but you have to finish in 1 hour after you start the simulation.
The simulation consists of 15 multiple choice questions (2 points each) and 5 short answer questions (4 each). No deduction for wrong answers.
Before the exam period starts, there will be a countdown timer. It is advisable to login at least 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time.
After the countdown ends, there will be a Start button that you can click to begin the exam.
You can access the exam in a 3-hour window, but you have to finish in 2 hours after you start the exam.
The exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions (2 points each) and 10 short answer questions (4 each). No deduction for wrong answers.
